Top 5 Ways To Budget Christmas This Year!

Christmas is the Time of Year when people come together to show love, Joy, and giving to one another. However, for some, it can be a time of financial distress. Here is a few tips to so you can enjoy your Christmas without going overboard and breaking the bank!

1. Set a budget: Before you go ahead and start spending money, it is always a good idea to set a budget for yourself. Think of your income and everything else. Sometimes at Christmas, you have to be realistic and figure out exactly how much you are able to spend this holiday season.

2. Make a list: Spreadsheets are great for this! Make a list of all the people that you would like to buy gifts for this year. Include all of your family, friends, and colleagues. The list may need to be prioritized from the closest relationships to the smaller relationships. You need to allocate a certain amount for each person; that will definitely help you out in the long run! This will help you stay focused and not overspend.

3. Get Creative: Who doesn't love a handmade gift?! Instead of going out and buying super expensive gifts for everything and everyone, consider personal gifts and very thoughtful gifts! Sometimes even a card or a hug can make someone's day! Not only does it save you money during the holiday season, but it also puts a lot of sentiment in the gift you are going to give!

4. Food: Food is very important during the holiday season! During the Holiday season, most meals involve big lavish feasts. That does not mean blowing the whole budget on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner! Plan and shop according to what you believe you will need. You also want to look at items the old-fashioned way, such as reading store market flyers to see what types of deals they are running! Consider also buying in Bulk when you go grocery shopping. You can also ask or encourage your family members or whoever is coming to the table for the holiday to either bring a dish or a beverage to contribute.

5. Limit the Decorations: You do not need to literally deck the halls every year! While it is very tempting to because everyone loves decorations, it is also necessary to not spend a fortune on them. You can pull out the old decorations and consider making handmade ones at home. Get Creative with Christmas! It's your home; make it as festive as you want but keep in mind how much you want to spend!

The Holiday Season can be expensive, but you have the ability to save or spend however much you want! It is the season of love, joy, and giving! The True spirit of Christmas lies in Togetherness and friendship.
