Joe Burrows Signs Five year Extension

Joe Burrows is currently the biggest name in the NFL and has just gotten more significant than he already is.

Burrows made history Thursday night moments after the regular season kicked off with the Detroit Lions and The Kansas City Chiefs.

The announcement was made that Burrows had signed a five-year extension with the Cincinnati Bengals.

This deal is worth up to $275 Million for the next five years he is with the team.

In that time, every season that he plays, he will be paid up to $55 Million.

Burrows has now jumped on board to become one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL, alongside Starting Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Burrows is a record-breaker listed as the fifth-fastest passer in the NFL.

He has a total of 75 career touchdown passes.

Burrows managed to do this in only 40 games and does not trail far behind two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes, who has done in 30 games, followed up by a handful of pro hall of farmers such as Dan Marino (31 games), Herbert (34 Games), and Kurt Warner (35 Games)

Hopefully, we will see more from Burrows in the rest of the regular season.

The Bengals will return to start their regular season against The Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 10 at 1 p.m.
